Der Begriff Akusmatik (griechisch Akousma „auditive Wahrnehmung“) bezeichnet eine Musik, deren Klangerzeugungsmittel nicht sichtbar und meist auch nicht identifizierbar sind. Es entsteht eine Situation reinen Hörens, da die Aufmerksamkeit nicht durch eine sichtbare oder vorhersehbare Klangquelle beeinflusst wird.
